Alan Montecillo (monte-SEEL-yoh) is an award-winning audio journalist in San Francisco. He is currently the senior editor of The Bay, KQED's local news podcast. Before moving to the Bay Area, he worked as a senior talk show producer for Illinois Public Media and as a production assistant at Oregon Public Broadcasting.

He has won awards from the Online News Association, Society of Professional Journalists Northern California, the Public Media Journalists Association, and has also received a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Alan is a Filipino American from Hong Kong and a graduate of Reed College.
